ABOUT US
Dr. Lisa Morrison is from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She graduated from Queen’s University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Life Sciences.
Dr. Tim Hynes was born and raised in Newfoundland. He attended Memorial University of Newfoundland and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry.
Dr. Morrison and Dr. Hynes met at the University of Waterloo, where they earned their Doctor of Optometry degrees and graduated on the Dean’s Honours List in 2016.
After graduation, Dr. Morrison and Dr. Hynes practiced in Newfoundland before relocating to Nova Scotia in 2018. In January 2022, Dr. Cain Cottreau joined the practice as an associate optometrist, returning to his home province after several years of practicing in Ontario.
Drs. Hynes, Morrison, and Cottreau love practicing in the beautiful Annapolis Valley and look forward to welcoming new and returning patients in New Minas and Greenwood.

DR. TIM HYNES
Optometrist
Dr. Tim Hynes was born and raised in Newfoundland. He attended Memorial University of Newfoundland and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Biochemistry. He graduated with a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2016. As a student, he completed internships at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas and at the FISH Clinic in Kingston, Jamaica. Dr. Hynes is currently serving as the Treasurer of the Nova Scotia Association of Optometrists. He has also served on committees for the Nova Scotia College of Optometrists.
In his free time, Tim enjoys skiing, cycling, and hiking with his dog Daisy.
DR. LISA MORRISON
Optometrist
Dr. Lisa Morrison is from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. She graduated from Queen's University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Life Sciences. Dr. Morrison graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2016 with a Doctor of Optometry degree. She was awarded the Dr. Margaret Hansen des Groseilleers Award for leadership as well as the O.S.I Award for Excellence in Practice Management. Dr. Morrison currently serves as the President of the Nova Scotia Association of Optometrists.
Lisa enjoys running, yoga, and reading in her spare time.
DR. CAIN COTTREAU
Optometrist
Dr. Cain Cottreau was born and raised in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, received his Bachelor of Science from Acadia University and graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 2016. In his graduating year Dr. Cottreau also received the A. W. Cole Award for Clinical Excellence. During his time in school, Dr. Cottreau completed internships in Ontario, Nova Scotia and Atlanta, Georgia which gave him a thorough understanding of clinical optometric skills and the treatment and management of various eye disorders. Dr. Cottreau enjoys cooking and baking for friends and family, and in his spare time tries to work off those extra calories by running and cycling.
Dr. Cottreau spent 5 years practicing in Ontario and is very excited to be back living and working in his home province.
